How to test a ford door lock actuator.
Point the lock rod up and push the new actuator in place.
Then use your test light or digital meter to check for power and ground at the connector when you operate the lock unlock switch.
Test the actuator function here by locking unlocking the door with the manual interior door lock button.
Push the bottom clip back in the door.
If the door remains locked in either or both of these cases the problem is the actuator.
